Blood Ghost

Habitat: Mostly seen in orchards

Size: up to 4ft

Diet: Nothing is known about the eating habits of a Blood Ghost.  Having no visible mouth they may not eat as we know it.

Not many have taken the opportunity to approach a blood ghost.  Typically, the ghost can be seen glowing in the distance and given its rather creepy appearance, most steer clear.  

I encountered a blood ghost at my grandparents orchard in southern Texas.  I followed the ghost as it darted between trees, hovering about 3 feet off the ground.  When I finally had the nerve to approach it, it instantly disappeared upon seeing me.  That was the only time I've ever seen one.
